Technology with Traditional Painting
My paintings combine digital tools like my iPad to replicate traditional media as well as relying heavily on my plotter to create intricate designs using Sharpies and ink. I use digital tools to plan compositions and experiment with textures before translating them into physical pieces, allowing for a balance of control and spontaneity. The plotter enables me to achieve fine details and consistent line work, which I then enhance by layering on top of digital layers to add depth and dimension. This allows me to explore beyond my physical boundaries.
